I have always had a special place in my heart for people with disabilities, especially those in developing countries where resources and opportunities are limited or non-existent. 

Many of you know I went to Ghana earlier this year. I am privileged to have the opportunity to volunteer with 'Through The Roof' again and go on a trip to Uganda on 22nd October - 2 November... I'll be using my skills as a physiotherapist together with other volunteers of varying skills and backgrounds in order to run a wheelchair and mobility clinic.  We will be recycling and modifying old wheelchairs and mobility aides to best meet the needs of disabled children and adults and giving them the gift of mobility that they otherwise would not have.
