Story

The Birmingham Qur’an Academy, based in the Sultan Bahu Trust, urgently needs your help!!

We aim to set up an IT Lab and acquire desktop computers for our 500 students, to help introduce IT learning which will facilitate their Qur'anic education. .

We are fundraising to set up a computer lab for 50 desktop computers,  all networked and wired to the internet and fully integrated so our children are helped to read the Qur’an visually and through audio.  We teach in mosque halls and the use of a computer lab will help us make their Qur'an learning more effective and introduce a class room type environment to develop them further.

From our experience of using this technology we know that children progress much faster and also enjoy their learning.  Please help us to acquire these desktops and for every PC that you contribute you will receive the reward for whenever a child sits to learn and recite their Qur’an. We also intend to use these computers for e-learning in Islamic studies and further still, language skills (English and Arabic) so by helping us you are helping our children have a positive and nurturing experience learning in our Academy environment.

The Birmingham Qur’an Academy was set up 5 years ago and is a leading , renown  and reputable provider of Qur’anic teaching  for British  children aged 6-18 years of age.  We started off with a single student and a single teacher and have grown with over 30 teachers and 500 students.  Our teachers are from Egypt, Tanzania, Pakistan as well as from Britain to represent the diversity of our children that we teach.   We have assisted children to become huffaaz of the Qur'an, gain Ijazzaats in Qur'an, providers of training for teachers of Qur'an as well as successfully guided hundreds of students to finish and accomplish beautiful  recitation of the Qur'an.  We seek to create lovers of the Qur’an in our students and whatever they go on to become in life, it is our honour and duty to deliver this gift of the Qur’an which is a contribution we can all make for a promising future for our children.

Please donate as much as you can and be part of this blessed legacy that started in the cave of Hira and should continue in the hearts of our children.  We need strong British institutes in the UK for our children and the BQA is one of the strongest in this area.  Charity begins at home so please donate and support our cause.
