Story
This page has been set up to raise funds for the CASE Europe Carrie Levenson-Wahl Scholarship. The scholarship will contribute towards enabling an advancement practitioner in an international school (based in Europe) to attend one of CASE Europe's residential institutes or the CASE Europe Annual Conference.
Carrie, a former CASE Europe trustee, CASE Crystal Apple award winner and regular CASE volunteer, was a leading schools advancement practitioner, a generous teacher and a trusted advisor to colleagues and acquaintances alike. Carrie served as the Director of External Affairs at the International School in Paris for more than a decade. Her strong communications skills made her a natural CASE presenter and over two decades she shared her experiences gained at schools in the US and France with her peers in fundraising and alumni relations.
She championed leadership involvement in advancement and was a key volunteer in the development of the CASE Europe bi-annual international schools summit which brought school heads, governors and development practitioners together. She also advocated benchmarking fundraising data and was influential in the growing professionalisation of schools advancement practice. She worked closely with Mike Miller, former Director of Advancement at the American School in London, advising schools across Europe, Africa and Asia on governance, strategy and growing their advancement operations.
