Thanks for visiting my JustGiving Page! I’m running the Virgin London Marathon 2016 for The Brooke Hospital for Animals on the 24th of April 2016.

Horses endured harrowing service in our wars in addition to providing companionship and solace to our soldiers. However, they were treated terribly after the 1st and 2nd World Wars ended. The majority were sold into a life of hard labour in Egypt, many were blind, all were skeletons. In 1930 Dorothy Brooke appealed for donations so these horses could be cared. Also owners were educated so their knowledge of horse care could provide a happier working life for their animals who were vital to their lively-hoods.
