My friends

I have been a dog owner for a large part of my life and received so much love from my fury friends. Romania used to have many stray dogs in the cities, which were left unattended. The Government did not invest in shelters and instead of encouraging adoptions, they encouraged the growth of a big private pet shop industry. Authorities collected many dogs from the streets but their only solution was to kill them. Last year my Mum and I managed to rescue one , which lived near my parents' house..took it into a private shelter, paid for its care until it was permanently adopted and visited him regularly. We got so much back: joy, love, playful moments, loyalty. .But this is a rare, fortunate case. Most end up dead sadly and it breaks my heart.

This year, I make an appeal to you for supporting them. My birthday is approaching but I have more than needed. Instead of gifts, maybe you can support this charity raising funds for the shelter and care of these souls..
