We work with schools in Zululand SA to improve the education of children

Story

The David Rattray Foundation is based in Kwa - Zulu Natal in the north-east of South Africa at the base of the beautiful Drakensberg Mountains: an achingly lovely, deeply traditional and rural area, home of the Zulus.

The foundation carries on the work started by famous Zulu historian, David Rattray.  It supports 19 local schools, reaching 5,500 children in a very needy area with 80% unemployment, and, where many children are AIDS orphans. Typically, the foundation will supply a school with water and sanitation, electricity, computers, extra classrooms, a library, teacher training, volunteer support and more.

At Epsilon, we believe that children in the developing world can be empowered through technology. So, we've joined forces with the David Rattray Foundation to launch POWER UP

This initiative will help us raise funds to build an IT lab for children in this remote area of South Africa.  Our aim is to raise 8,000 Euros to create this fantastic facility, empowering school kids with skills to help them prosper.

We'll do that by hosting a series of fundraising events in Epsilon offices all around the world.
