Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My beloved Mum, Jean Brown, died in the Rotherham Hospital Stroke Unit on 16th November 2013 after a short illness.
In the brief time she was on the unit, Mum was given exemplary care and ALL the Staff were fantastic to her and our family and friends who stayed with her in her last hours.
The Stroke Unit does innovative work outside the usual rehabilitation for patients and any extra funding buys specialist equipment to get people mobile again and extra speach therapy sessions to regain vital communication.
Mum wasn't lucky enough to benefit from this expertise but I want to give others the chance that she did not get.
Please give generously, as all who know me and who saw me 2 stones heavier until a few months ago, will know I am no athlete and this will be a labour of love and my way of marking the passing of a Beautiful, Thoughtful, Happy, Proud and Sadly Missed Mum, Grandma, Great Grandma and Devoted Wife to Dad Harry xx
