We support people who live with diabetes to help prevent long term complications

Story

Hello!

For a long time, in fact since I was a child, I have watched Dad run and compete in Triathlons.........I have watched Ange train and compete with Cannock and Staffs running club...........and I have seen Vick take up the challenge of running in recent years.

Well now it's my turn to try and run! I have waited 37 years to get involved but it's never too late. Vick inspired me to take part in a Park Run recently and I supported Ange in her first MARATHON in San Fran at the start of April. Both these things, along with gradually declining health, have motivated me to get started.

I have lived with Type 1 Diabetes for 30 years now and have supported IDDT for a long while because of their original focus on those who are dependant on insulin. They are a very small charity but their work spreads far and wide. You can read more about them at www.iddt.org.uk.

I have made a relatively last minute decision to run but didn't want to miss the opportunity to mark the occasion by raising money, no matter how small the amount raised.

I thank you in advance for anything you give to support me and IDDT.
