 BUILDING A MOSQUE IN LIBRAZHD, ALBANIA

 The masjid is the heart of any Muslim community, providing much more than a place of worship. Many also offer Islamic education and are often a base from which essential community services are delivered.

The first and foremost duty performed by the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) upon entering Madinah at the time of emigration was to build a Masjid.

He salAllahu alayhi wassalam said, ‘Whosoever builds a house (masjid) for the pleasure of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise.’ [Tirmidhi]

The cost of the mosque is £35K and each prayer space costs roughly £233. The masjid will seek to cater for approx. 150 worshippers inshaAllah. There will also be a madrasah that will inshaAllah provide for approx. 40 children.

Kosovo and Albania were cruel victims of and badly affected by communism, and as a result nearly all the Masajid in these parts were destroyed. More recently, Rahma (mercy) has sought to turn this around and taken the initiative to build brand new Masaajid in these countries.

There are now 16 Masaajid and 2 Jamaat khanas (Musallas) up and running in Albania and Kosovo and this is all because of your money and support. These mosques are changing lives every single day and bringing entire communities and towns closer to Islam. Both young and old are now living their lives in the way our Prophet SAW intended.

Please dig deep and help us establish another mosque, this time in the area called Librazdh. Our brothers and sisters in this region are in great need. The mosque will also have a madrasah that will seek to cater for approximately 40 girls and boys inshaAllah.
