Story
Gracie Webb was born on 18 July 2011 and her twin brother Isaac was born just 3 minutes later. Two much-celebrated moments. However, in just a few hours Gracie's life became a little more difficult and she had to have the first of three major life saving operations. These are going well.
But if that wasn't enough for her to deal with at such an early age, on 29 February, despite doctors having told her mum Lucy that her head shape would 'right itself with growth, and anyway her hair would cover it', Gracie was diagnosed with severe brachycephaly. Lucy, was told that the condition was so severe that the only treatment that would offer any significant improvement to the shape of Gracie's head would be a STARband cranial remoulding orthoses helmet. These are not available on the NHS. As Gracie's family we only want the best for her and are trying to raise the funds for her to have this treatment. Gracie will need to wear a special helmet for 23 hours of the day for up to 8 months. She will also have to attend fortnightly visits to the steeper Clinic in Leeds.
After the lengthy treatment Gracie will have a much improved shape to her head
Please, please, please help us to raise money for Gracie's helmet and the charity that supports families and children with this condition by making a donation of sponsorship for any of the events detailed below or by attending and joining in any of them:
