Hello!

For anyone who doesn't know me, I am the Chief Exec and Founder of Petals.  Since 2013 I have driven the delivery of a unique and innovative counselling service that supports those couples whose maternity service experience ends in tragedy, with the death of a much wanted baby.

In the past 3 years Petals has supported 500 couples through pregnancy trauma and loss - we run a thriving counselling service at the Rosie Hospital Cambridge, and a developing service at Imperial Hospital London.  

I believe passionately that this service should be available to all couples who suffer such a devastating pregnancy outcome -  maternity bereavement services across the country are patchy or non-existent - we need to change this, and we know that the Petals counselling model of support works -  evaluation of our work tells us that 95% of service users report significant improvements in their emotional well - being.

Fundraising to sustain and develop our work is an essential part of our role as a charity.  If you can help, and support me in this event, I really would appreciate it - knowing I have your support as I struggle through the streets of London, just hoping I can get to the end, will be encouraging - I won't let you down!
