My incredible Aunty Wendy has turned 50 this year so to celebrate is doing all 5 -  1 mile Great Swims (North, East, Manchester, London and Scotland ) - that's 1  per decade to raise money for Autism East Midlands. Fergus her son, and my cousin, has been going on trips with this charity since he was 8 or 9 and also attends their youth club. These are the only social events he attends without his family and give him a level of independence and he loves it as well as giving them a bit of a break too! Although I am not as crazy as my Aunty to do all 5 I'm doing my bit by swimming the Great Manchester Swim with her on the 2nd of July...so I best get wetsuit shopping!!
