Story
I am running the Leeds Junior fun run on Sunday 9th May in memory of Tom Reid and to raise money for the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) http://www.c-r-y.org.uk/ Tom Reid was a former pupil at my school Garforth Community College who tragically passed away in September 2009 from a condition called SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) http://www.sads.org.uk He was only 19 and just starting university. At least 12 young people die each week from this condition.
Tom's Mum and Dad Halina and Antony, his brother Alex and their family are raising funds to be able to hold a unique ECG screening clinic to give young people in Garforth the opportunity of a simple test that could detect a treatable heart condition and to help CRY support other families. You can read more about their story and fundraising by following the link below

My school have been fundraising towards this cause, so I thought it was a good enough reason to get out of bed early and start running! If you see me running around the streets of Garforth not looking my best, remember it's for a very worthy cause.
So please, please sponsor me, every little bit counts towards the target
Thank you
Katie :)
