The Lake District Mountain Rescue Search Dog Association (LDMRSA), is an entirely voluntary charity which supports all of the various Cumbrian mountain rescue associations across the county. As a Lake District pet friendly holiday letting agency, we felt it was extremely important for us to support this incredibly talented and often forgotten group of people and dogs who selflessly risk their lives on a daily basis to save the lives of others.

Over 70% of those saved by the LDMRSDA are visitors to our area and as part of the tourism industry we are hoping that by highlighting this worthwhile charity to our guests and followers and asking for their support in our fund-raising efforts too, that we can help to keep this vital lifesaving service alive for many more years to come.

Why are we supporting them – that’s easy… they’re a local organisation and we’re a local company. By supporting them, we are ensuring that they are here to support our guests should they ever be in need and highlighting the often forgotten work of an exceptional group of volunteers, who take to the Lakeland and Cumbrian fells night and day to find the lost and injured!

Our aim is to raise at least £5,000 through a combination of company donations, guest donations and fund-raising activities throughout the year! Thank you for your support!
