Story

I have been involved with Holton Lee for over 20 years now, I was privileged to work there for five years as a Care Assistant. I will have been volunteering there for 15 years this October, so you can tell I have a real passion for the place. Two years ago Holton Lee became part of Livability a much larger charity, too my mind it is the best thing that has happened in a very long time, it has secured the future of the place with the backing of a much larger organisation. So why the epic cycle ride, I have a major birthday coming up and wanted to do something different and at the same time raise both money and awareness of the incredible work still going on. The next phase of Holton Lee is underway a complete refurbishment of both the Old and New Barn to make a purpose built centre for Spinal Injury Rehabilitation.I would be most grateful of your support.

Thank You.

About the charity

Livability

RCN 1116530
Livability creates choices for disabled people and brings life to local communities. We offer a wide range of services to around 8,000 disabled people and their families, including residential care, supported living, education and accessible holidays. We also provide churches with the resources, advice and confidence to transform their neighbourhoods. Livability is a new charity, created by the merger of John Grooms and the Shaftesbury Society, two charities which have been hard at work among the UK's most marginalised people for over 160 years.
