Story

This year we are riding to raise money for Ben's Heroes:

http://bensheroestrust.org/

Ben's Heroes Trust is a children's cancer charity founded in 2011 in memory of Ben Loyns, who tragically died of cancer in December 2010 at the age of 9.

We provide financial aid and support to assist children with cancer being treated in the UK to gain access to new treatments/drugs not available on the NHS, and fund projects to improve their quality of life.

Ben's Heroes Trust is calling on all our supporters to help 2 year-old Theo Clennon's family to raise the £200,000 they need to get Theo to the United States for life saving Proton Beam Therapy treatment.

Please help us by donating to this worthy cause. It will make the hard miles on the bike all the more worthwhile!

More on the challenge:

The Massif Challenge 2016 is to teams of four to cycle in relay more than 500 miles through France in three days. Much of the route will be following the 2016 Tour de France stages 3, 4 and 5 which should ensure good road surfaces! The Challenge starts at the Channel port of Saint-Malo, takes us through Normandy to the Loire valley before rising towards the Massif Central and a stunning finish close to Clermont-Ferrand.

About the charity

For nearly 20 years, we have organised mainly cycle events in Europe. We have raised some £3,902,055 mainly for cancer and medical charities. We pride ourselves that EVERY PENNY that has been raised has been paid to charity - our participants paying the full cost of event entry themselves.
