Fundraising for Headway Essex
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page. We are jumping out of a plane at 10,000 with over 330 others (there's more than one plane!) in a world record attempt.
Why are doing this? To raise money for Headway Essex, a fantastic charity.
We take our lives for granted and go about our daily activities, but what if one day, God forbid, your life was turned upside down due to you or a loved one sustaining a head injury? This can happen to anyone at any time - a traffic collision, falling off a ladder, playing sport, slipping, tripping or being assaulted.
We see it all too often through our chosen career. The brain is fragile. Most of the time we brush it off but for some it's serious. It can be fatal or leave a person with devastating life changing brain injuries. The effect isn't limited to the patient - it changes the lives of those around them, too. We have both personally experienced a head injury but thankfully we recovered. Simon's family have experienced a traumatic brain injury and were helped hugely by the work of Headway.
