I am raising funds for Durham Wildlife Trust as the work
they do to help protect wildlife and promote nature conservation is invaluable.

I have been extremely lucky in gaining a position for WildGround (Delivered by Durham Wildlife Trust and funded by Heritage Lottery Fund) which hopes to promote wildlife friendly grounds maintenance. I have learnt so much from the staff and volunteers from Durham Wildlife Trust amongst working with other partners such as Gateshead Council, South Tyneside Council, Durham County Council and Cestria Housing. It has opened my eyes up to how important it is to protect our wildlife, countryside and green spaces. I’d like to be able to give back something to show my appreciation for all the work they do and having the opportunity to train with them, which will provide me with the skills to persue a career in wildlife friendly grounds maintenance.
