Over the Wall runs magical camps for children with challenging illnesses, their siblings and their families. The camps are built on the concept of therapeutic recreation – the creation of an environment where everyone sets their own challenges and achieve them.

With this in mind, Rebecca Rich and I have decided to challenge ourselves to cycle the 350km across the south of England and north France to reach Paris from our base in London.

Camp has been a huge part of my life since I was 11 – I attended three camps as a sibling and have returned each year as volunteer since 2010. Rebecca and Richard got involved with Over the Wall through a team building day I organised to support the charity. It was their idea to combine their passion for cycling with raising money for Over the Wall.
