Story

I always said that I would run a marathon by the time I was 40, well I was 40 in September so this is me holding up my end of the bargain.  So after nearly 20 years of working on the London Marathon I have finally taken the decision to run it !!!!

Now it is time to come out & let you all know what I am doing & what I have ahead of me - 26.2 miles of the best and most amazing marathon course in the world.

I have started regular running again after nearly 10 years off and 2 achilles tendon operations - loving every minute of it, especially my gentle 3 miles on a Sunday morning with my eldest daughter.

I should also mention that a very dear friend of mine, John Beeden, has been a major inspiration.  In 2011 John rowed solo across the Atlantic Ocean and right now he is once again rowing solo across the Pacific Ocean - without knowing John I might never have taken on this challenge.  Please follow John on his Pacific journey at www.solopacificrow.com

Now you need to dig into your wallet / purse for your bank card & help me support The Primrose Unit at Bedford Hospital - check out their excellent work at http://www.bedfordhospital.nhs.uk/primrose-unit

So finally thanks for taking time to visit my JustGiving page.  Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
