Story

REDcember - the female Movember - is almost upon us. It's about celebrating our femininity and the issues we face because of it. Yes, we get periods. Yes, we are grumpy and have increased body odour. Some of us have to endure the worst kinds of physical and mental pain purely as a result of having female reproductive organs. Some of us don't get periods at all. All of us have an issue with Aunt Irma. But we are not alone.

So what's the plan? Your task is to post a picture on Facebook/Twitter/social media of choice of Jen from the IT crowd under the influence of Aunt Irma (see above) at some point during the month of December (no need to wait untill you're on your period, but if you want to be proud, good for you!) following by whatever donation you can afford.

Come on ladies, we may not be able to grow mustaches or pee standing up, but we can bleed for DAYS and not die. That makes us pretty cool, and we should be talking about it. This is for every girl trying to cope with period pains, every girl crippled by endometriosis, any woman who's had problems after labour, and all those women who've suffered tragedies such as miscarriage and stillbirths. This is for every woman suffering with a female cancer, every woman with polycystic ovaries, every woman who can't have periods for whatever reason, every woman who's reached a certain age and goes through years of hormonal turmoil. This is for all of us! Please give generously, and for one shining month be proud to know Aunt Irma. REDcember!
