This page is dedicated to raising awareness and funds towards the cost of treating babies who have been diagnosed with Brachycephaly or Plagiocephaly (Flat Head Syndrome). We originally set up this page when we started raising money to fund our beautiful little boy's helmet treatment as he was diagnosed with a severe form of this condition.

A lot of babies with Brachycephaly & Plagiocephaly require a specially fitted helmet to treat this condition which they wear for 23 hours a day. This helps to round out their skulls and mould it into a better shape so that it is not so noticeable and prevents future problems.

Unfortunately the NHS do not currently widely recognise Cranial Remolding therapy so we are trying to raise as much money as possible towards the cost. A corrective helmet in the UK costs £2000.

A normal skull has a width to length ratio between 75% - 83% and Samuel's skull was 104% at his first assessment! He achieved amazing results with his helmet and we are so fortunate that we were able to go down this route.

The results on other children who have been wearing the helmets is also fantastic and the clinic who helped Samuel are widely known for their successful treatment.

We are trying to raise money in connection with Headstart4Babies. This is a small charity raising awareness of Plagiocephaly and Brachycephaly. We also have an awareness page www.facebook.com/brachy.plagio with information to help other families facing these conditions.

Samuel is such a happy little boy and we just wanted him to have the best start in life.
