Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

On 24th April, I'll be undertaking my first ever marathon, (the London Marathon), in aid of the Good Shepherd Hospice.

I'm running in memory and to celebrate the life of my great friend & brother-in-law, David Morley. In November 2014, aged 50, David lost his long and brave battle against Parkinson's & Dementia.

David's zest for life, adventure & love of family is a constant source of inspiration. I'll always be grateful for his friendship and support - perhaps most memorably & selflessly given when he protected Jane (his wife) & myself, when we got caught up in an armed bank robbery in Italy many years ago. David's spirit lives on through Jane (thanks for roping me into joining you on this particular challenge!), and their three amazing off spring, Nico, Lizzie & Ally.

Together, we will always be grateful for the work, dedication & support of the various medical staff, carers & friends, particularly during David's final months with us.

The work of the Good Shepherd Hospice is important to both patients and their families when they face these difficult situations and is particularly critical to providing dignified end of life care which makes things much more bearable for all concerned.

Please support me in my endeavour & in turn, enable the Good Shepherd Hospice to continue to help people in similar situations.

Thank you

This one's for you Dave.
I know you'll be with me every step of the way & I hope I do you proud!
