After being rescued on 16th November, I want to do something to raise some money for Skye MRT. I really don't know what would of happened to me without their help, it was a bad break which Doctors have told me was very unstable and I could of easily made my ankle unfixable if I had not been immobilised and treated so well in those initial hours. If I had been forced to drag myself out, that might of been my last day walking the wilds, but prognosis is good for the future, even if that future is a year away.

I felt pretty foolish for having to call the MRT out, but everyone who came was really kind and didn't seem to mind being out on a blustery cold night at all. I can't thank them enough for their help, so I am asking my loved ones to donate the money they would of spent on Christmas presents for me to the MRT. I already have the best present money could buy - the prospect of getting back to the hills.

I am donating my entire Christmas present budget, as I believe my loved ones don't really need presents and will be happy just to have me around for a wee while longer.

Hopefully money raised will enable the MRT to help others in my situation and help keep other families stay together for longer - the best gift in the world.
