In February a team of ERMers will be hiking 31.1 kilometers to raise money for our ERM Foundation project, which will be used to support Tohoku rice farmers whose land was affected by the 03.11 disaster in Japan. ERM will work alongside Japan-based NGO NICCO to clean up the rice fields, implement organic farming techniques, help restore local habitats, and plant and harvest the rice. The fields will be returned to the farmers who will then go on to help educate others in the community on the merits of sustainable farming practices and biodiversity.
