This year I've booked August off work to cycle from Berlin to Trogir in Croatia, aproximately 1200 miles (providing my navigational skills have made a somewhat drastic improvement) I will be using only a map and my trusty old brass compass, camping wild and totally on  my lonesome. I will be passing through Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia all because I love a good bike ride.  But also this year I need your help to raise money for Shine, a local charity who give well needed support to children and young people with additional needs or disabilities and their families. I chose Shine because I, being lucky enough to be born in good health and often taking this for granted, feel it is important to give a little to those who are not so fortunate but with the help of good people around them can still have a bright future.
