<p><span style="color: #008000;">Hi!&nbsp; I'm Kate Ward of <a href="http://wardwalkslondon.blogspot.com"><span style="color: #9acd32;">Ward Walks London</span></a><span style="color: #008000;">.</span>&nbsp; Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #008000;">In September 2006 my dad died of malignant mesothelioma, a form of cancer which is usually caused by exposure to asbestos.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #008000;">On Sunday the 1st of May 2011, what would have been my dad's 78th birthday, I started walking the<span style="color: #008000;"> </span><a href="http://www.walklondon.org.uk"><span style="color: #008000;"><span style="color: #9acd32;">London Capital Ring</span> </span></a>&nbsp;aiming to complete it within 24 hours.&nbsp; I crossed the finish line in Woolwich after 27 hours 11 minutes of walking.&nbsp; I&nbsp;did this to raise money for the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #008000;">I blogged&nbsp;my&nbsp;year of training at </span><span style="color: #9acd32;"><a href="http://wardwalkslondon.blogspot.com/">http://wardwalkslondon.blogspot.com/</a> </span><span style="color: #008000;">where there are also updates from the walk itself.&nbsp; Come and say hello!</span></p> <p><span style="color: #008000;">Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
