Foolishly Paddy will be doing the Tough Mudder event on 26th October 2014 and he needs your support because he's not fit and he'll be doing this in memory of his friend Aaron Lewis.
Aaron Lewis – a Lieutenant in the 29 Commando Regiment, Royal Artillery; was tragically killed on duty in the Helmand province of Afghanistan on the 15th of December 2008. He was killed just three months into his first deployment, nine days after his 26th birthday.
Tough Mudder is a series of hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle race - mud run events designed by British Special Forces to challenge the toughest of the tough.
Aaron wanted to make a difference to the world, bringing help and hope to those in need. It was that belief which gave him the courage, hope and enthusiasm to deploy with the Commandos. The charity was originally set up to raise funds for a memorial that stands proudly outside of The Royal Citadel, home of 29 Commando Regiment, Aaron's regimental home. Now, the ALF is an organisation designed to raise money for carefully selected local and national charities.
