Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
About 4 years ago, a read a feature in the Law Society Gazette about support for illness within Law Firms. My old friend Daniel was featured talking about how our firm gave him time off to attend the Bury Cancer Support Centre every Wednesday afternoon. Dan, who was a young Dad explained how the Centre helped him deal with his illness. I promised him the next Marathon I would run would be for this wonderful cause, to give something back on behalf of my friend who valued so much the work they do.
A pregnancy and an injury meant that the next Marathon was a long time coming. But I kept Dan updated and I was delighted to tell him when I got my place in the ballot for this year's London Marathon. Sadly Dan died shortly before Christmas.
Preparing for this race is not easy. I am lacking in fitness and have a good few stones to lose, but I'm up for it.
So please would you donate to support the work they do at the Bury Cancer Support Centre. They desperately need the funding to make a difference to people like Dan and his wonderful family.
