Fundraising for poorly and premature babies

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Most of you know the story of Jack's start in life, being born at 33 weeks and spending the first three weeks of his life in hospital. We were so fortunate that Jack soon gained strength and six years later it's hard to believe we even went through such a traumatic time.

We raised over £1,000 for the 'Cots for Tots' appeal when Jack was small but I've always wanted to raise more for the NICU team, as they do incredible work and we'll always be grateful for the support they gave us and friends very recently. So... I've signed myself up for a 5 peaks challenge in October and would be extremely grateful for you support!

The money will help to pay for the most up to date equipment to care for babies, ensuring that staff are able to receive up to date training and that parents are supported with good facilities while their baby is in hospital. Current fundraising needs include: electric breast pumps, cold lights (fluorescent lights to identify veins for cannulation), portable oxygen saturation monitors and transcutaneous bilirubinometer to check for newborn baby jaundice (£3,000 each).

A huge thank you for your support.
