Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother Ian Frater or Big Fritz as he was known to his many friends was a family man who worked hard as a mental health nurse with the NHS. He had lived with the diagnosis of cardiomyopathy for 5 years but passed away quite suddenly of a stroke brought on by his heart failure in May 2012. He left a great big hole in his family and friends lives and as a tribute to Ian, myself and his close friends decided to do some fundraising for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland. Apart from his two sons Nile and Theo, Ian's biggest passion in life was music and going to live gigs, so with this in mind, we decided that having a music night with all of Ian's favourite songs would be a great way of honouring him, to share memories and of course to raise some money.

The charity night took place at the end of October last year and was a fantastic success and hopefully we'll make it a yearly event in memory of a great guy.

Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen, to those who gave up their time, donated prizes, bought tickets and made the night a loving tribute to Ian.
