Story
Hello, friends, family, good people.
On October 1st 2016, a few of us from the Ashford branch of Samaritans will be undertaking the KM Assault Course Challenge to raise some funds to keep our branch running.
We will be splitting the money 70/30 with KM's chosen charity - Road Safety (also a great cause!), so the vast majority of the money will go straight to us.
We need approximately £12,000 a year in order to keep our branch running (phone lines, bills, materials, training) so that our 49 volunteers can continue to answers calls, emails, texts throughout the day and night. Last year, our dedicated volunteers answered 10,092 calls, 345 emails, 1162 texts, and welcomed 32 people into the branch to talk to us face-to-face. We want to keep being able to do this, so please support us! Any and every contribution is helpful and amazing!
