Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year I was running a half marathon with Mike (well I use 'with' in the broadest sense, I was about 1/2 a mile behind him!) He had just undergone chemotherapy, a major bowel operation and yet still beat me! This year I am running in his memory. All I can say is he was an amazing man and will be missed teribbly by all his friends but perhaps most importantly by his wonderful family, including his 3 young boys. Please dig deep. This is a charity close to his and his wife's hearts. We love you all.

About the charity

GUTS is committed to detecting bowel cancer early. It's a sad fact that 1 in 20 people will develop bowel cancer; it's the second most common cause of death by cancer, affecting both men and women. GUTS strives to change this - detected at the earliest stage, there is a 90% chance of survival.
