Story
I knew Anne for over 20 years, and our families went through many experiences together, sharing holidays and nights out, and watching our children grow. I expected that Fiona and I would still be seeing Anne and Peter into our dotage. It came as a real shock to realise that Anne would not survive her illness, and yet she and her family faced this so courageously.
We had previously seen the excellent work of Princess Alice Hospice in their thoughtful and sensitive help for another of our close friends, and once again we saw how they helped Anne and her family, both in practical matters and also in how to prepare emotionally, before and after her death.
When Peter asked whether I would be willing to cycle from London to Paris in aid of Princess Alice Hospice, I leapt at the chance. As a committed triathlete, I think Anne would have approved. Please sponsor me in Anne's memory, and help this very worthy cause.
