Story
On the 18th April, we're running The Boston Marathon, to raise funds for Jack Bank's Star Tribute Fund.
The fund was set up by Paula Banks in memory of her son, Jack, who died from a rare form of leukaemia aged only 9. Part of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal, all money raised goes straight to Bristol Children’s Hospital cancer unit, helping make the lives of all the children who go through this horrific experience a little better.
Jack's mum is a friend of our colleague, and The Real Adventure (where we work) is doing all it can to raise money for this incredible cause.
Yes we've both run lots of Marathons before, but they don't get easier, in fact each one gets harder as we battle old injuries, new injuries, aging bodies and an obsession with improving our personal bests. Knowing that our efforts will help some seriously poorly children will help us through the relentless dark moments we'll have during the months of daily training and on the big day itself. The agency is matching up to £1,500 of the money raised, so please give generously and help us help the kids!
Thank you for the bottom of our hearts,
Kim and Simon (Bracey Bums) XXX
