Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know my beautiful litlle nephew died on 1st December last year after a very short battle with a very rare brain tumour aged 2. We have all been greatly affected by Sacha's death, however Vincent and Hannah (his parents) have shown great courage, kindness and selflessness throughout this difficult time and have chosen to support World Child Cancer in Sacha's name. I, as his auntie, would also like to support them and Sacha's big brother Oliver (aged 5) in whatever way I can. I hope I can help us remember Sacha by fund raising for World Child Cancer who help children with cancer in Malawi who do not receive the care that we do in this country. The £350 I hope to raise would be enough to fund treatment for 7 children with cancer, offering them hope in their fight against cancer.
I have been running for a few years now but have always said that I would never enter a race as I didn't like the idea of competing or running in a big crowd.( What if I need the loo or I fall over and make a total fool of myself or worse am unable to complete this mammoth task!!!) Nevertheless, here I am sorting out my justgiving page for a Half Marathon! When Vincent asked I just couldn't say no to this one even though I had never run more than 14k ever in one go. I just hope my legs hold out!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this page and we would love to see you on the day of our run! A cheering crowd would help us no end!
