Story
I have a charity place in the London Marathon in April 2016 and I am running for Max Appeal. In March 2008 our daughter Ruby was born with 22Q11 syndrome and Max Appeal were amazing in giving our family the support we needed. 22Q11 is a genetic syndrome that affects thousands of children every year , and is often misdiagnosed. Max Appeal works with children and families affected by the syndrome to raise awareness of this condition and to ensure children receive the best possible care and opportunities life can offer. Sadly our Ruby passed away in October 2009. Running has been one of the many ways I cope with grief and life. I might run slow but I will get there. This marathon is not only for Ruby but for all my other angels in the sky who inspire me everyday in all I do. To my Dad, my sister Amanda, my brother Adrian, my nan Gladys, my grandad Ted and my daughter Ruby please ensure I finish under 6 hours!
