We raise funds for Airedale Hospital to enhance patient care

Story

Please support us in raising money for HODU (Haematology Oncology Day Unit).  This is the department within Airedale NHS trust which looks after patients receiving treatment for cancer and related illnesses. They did so much to help our friend Sam Tate fight Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Sam was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2011 and underwent a number of intensive treatments, including chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.  Sam tragically lost his battle with cancer on 27 November 2012 at the age of 30.

Funny, friendly, generous and intelligent, Sam touched the lives of many, many people.  Sam is greatly missed and we are playing football in tribute to his memory.  We hope that the money raised can help HODU to continue the fantastic service that they provide to people in Sam’s situation.
