We bring peace, comfort & dignity to people & help them live life to the full

Story

As many of you are aware my close friend and cycling partner jasons stepdaughter Stephanie lost her battle with bowel cancer and died peacefully with her mum by her side on june 24 2011,she was only 29 years old.

She spent her last days at the Hospice of St.Francis in Berkhamsted in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at the hospice.Their dedication and consideration made Stephanie as comfortable as possible and the support and kindness from the staff was invaluable.

To help the amazing work of the hospice, that relies on charitable donations,i will be undertaking with Jason an epic bike ride from Assisi in Italy to the St.Francis of Assisi Hospice in Berkhamsted---a total of 2050 km(1275 miles). Our aim is to start on june 10th and finish on the anniversary of Stephanies death 14 days later. We will cycle apprx 100 miles per day for 12 days including cycling over the Appenines in Italy and over the Swiss /French Alps!!

Our objective is not only to commemorate Stephanies life but to raise funds for the hospice which desperately needs support to ensure the magnificent work they do continues.

We have set ourselves an ambitious target of £50,000 (a mere £25 per km) so i would ask you to please give us your maximum support to provide the care for the next family who are desperate for their loved ones to leave this world with dignity and compassion.

Please visit my just giving page www.justgiving.com/DANNY-ACKERMAN     ,or send a cheque made out to "the hospice of st.francis".my adress is 3 oakridge ave radlett wd78en

Thank You
