Story

“£10,000 for 10th  Entry to GNR TOGETHER”

Hi! It's us again! The "Barker Brothers" Dave and Jim. Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

September looks like starting fairly busy this year! We start with Jim's 22nd visit to Bendrigg Lodge for his annual outdoor activity week
holiday and then  we will be running the
Great North Run (13.1miles) together on Sunday 11th September 2016.

We are again trying to raise money for the Bendrigg Trust

The trust are a registered charity and run the outdoor activities centre (Bendrigg Lodge) in the Lake District, where disabled and disadvantaged people can get involved in a variety of adventurous outdoor activities. Jim and I have been on holiday to Bendrigg 21 times and would have no hesitation in recommending
anyone to go and have a go! It's brilliant!!

This is the 15th time, that a Bendrigg team has been involved in the race (Jim and I have entered 9 of those together!!) to raise both money and awareness.                                                                                                          To celebrate our 10th  time of entering the race together we have set ourselves a target of £10,000 to raise as a team of twelve runners.
We would really appreciate it if you would like to sponsor us and
support the work that goes on at Bendrigg.

Don't forget to watch out for us on the
television coverage...........we keep trying to get on!! We'll be trying extra hard this year!!

DAVE and JIM.
