Story
Well I made it, finishing in horrendous conditions of wind and rain at Land's end. Strange not to be getting up at 5am and putting on lycra, packing up the tent and sterlising water bottles for the day's journey. the problems that have have no part of my thoughts for the last 9 days , finances, household, jobs, work, start to trickle back into the conscious.
Body in major recovery mode now, we just cant eat our way through the day as no lengthy hills to use up the calories. The legs, knees and saddle area will take several days to recover ! So many thoughts and memories - the excellent organisation, magnificent scenery, great company, mile after mile of tyres drumming on tarmac, mind lost in rivial thoughts or compressed into willing the legs to the next pitstop at the top of the nxt hill, scary descents and far too many long hills, delicious food at nights, camaraderie beyond belief, horrible English weather, sunny Scotland, only two punctures (both on the last day!!!), all of which deserve to be the things this trip is remembered for for years to come.
And to anyone who is tempted to put off a personal ambition like JOGLE I would say, you never know when you might get round to it, and as you only have one life, live it!
