I, along with 7 friends, am climbing Ben Nevis in memory of an amazing lady Diane Stapleton.  Diane was a true friend and a wonderful person who sadly lost her fight against cancer in February this year. 

Before she passed away it was decided we would take on the challenge that is Ben Nevis and raise valuable funds for Charities that so need it.

My part is being donated to St Clare hospice in Hastingwood, sadly Diane didn't get to use the in-patient facilities here due to lack of beds as they have only 8 available and was actually on the waiting list when she died.  It is mine, and the other girls aim to raise money for them so eventually people won’t have to wait.

The Macmillan nurses who used to visit Diane in her home, are also  now based and funded from St Clares.  These are an amazing team of nurses that look after cancer sufferers daily.

Every penny really does count, I am grateful for anything you are able to donate and hopefully we can raise a wonderful amount to help people in the future who face such terrible times.
