Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Visit the Team on the Parachuters NW too!

I have recently started working in a company where everybody smiles, laughs and works hard to raise money for charities across the world. We leave work knowing that someone's life, somewhere, has changed for the better, thanks to the kindness of everyday people, like yourselves.

When I heard that my boss was organising this jump in memory of her daughter, Lyndsey Roughton, I couldn't help but volunteer. Lyndsey's story, like many, resides as an inspirational tale of positivity and, tragedy. For the full story: www.lynz-mybraintumour.org.uk

A party girl, who loved all things in life; from clubbing to football to spending time with all those who loved her, the life changing diagnosis of Brain Cancer was given after a routine opticians check up.

Despite this news, she remained a fighter; always positive and looking forward to the future, whatever it may bring. With the help of fantastic fundraising with the Purple Hearts Foundation, she was able to live out her dreams and smile throughout her treatments. From the kindness of global donations, she was able to get the VIP treatment she deserved, from seeing Manchester United beat Liverpool at Old Trafford, partying at a Jessie J gig and even travelling to Thailand and Vietnam for three weeks.

All dreams that came true, and all thanks to the efforts of brilliant people who contributed.

Devastatingly to all those who knew her, Lyndsey passed on 26th February 2014.

Her family made the decision to start raise money to give others like Lyndsey the chance to create memories and live their dreams. For all those who know, or have known, anybody with a Terminal Illness, and especially those who have lived with Brain Tumours, will understand the importance of making those final memories ones which will make you smile with sheer happiness. Everybody deserves that opportunity.

So please, give as much as you can to this incredible cause, because you can make all the difference to somebody's life.

Thank you for reading. Wish us luck!

We raise funds to grant 'Wishes' to young adults fighting a terminal illness. When a person is given a negative prognosis family/friends instinctively want to give them something they have always wished for. We want to do that too, your fundraising helps us to make that wish come true.
