Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am part of a team running this year's Cheltenham Half marathon for Epic.
Epic is a fantastic charity dedicated to helping children and young people in Gloucestershire with epilepsy. Epic has already been helping children with short term counselling and by arranging social events for children with epilepsy and their families. This year it is also going to try to raise enough money for an expensive bit of diagnostic kit which will mean children don't have to travel to Oxford, Bristol or Birmingham as they do now.
I wanted a real challenge for fund-raising for Epic this year. Last year my daughter, who has epilelpsy, and I walked the Cotswold Way (102 miles!) and raised over £2000, so this year I thought I should try something even harder. I am not a runner at all and have always marvelled at how on earth people run so far; I would rather let the bus go than break a sweat!
I have until September to get from couch to half marathon. I'm not sure I will get there, but I'm going to try my hardest!
