Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am doing the Salford 10K on 9th September in memory of my grandad. He was an amazing person, who supported me throughout my life. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him; he used to take me to school, take me swimming, visit me at university and so many more things, it is impossible to list.
Last December he found out that he had a terminal lung disease and sadly passed away in July of this year. When he found out that he wasn't well, Dr Kershaw's reached out and invited him to attend the hospice once a week for a respite day, where they would do arts and crafts (one of my grandad's favourite past times). The artwork that he created was used to decorate the hospice, although he did get the opportunity to bring his creations home for all the family to see before they were unveiled at Dr Kershaw's. My grandad really appreciated all the support and care that Dr Kershaw's Hospice gave him throughout his illness.
