Story
I want to honour my little nephew and raise awareness and funds for the Birmingham Neonatal Unit that helped him through his short but shining life. Together with his loving father and uncles we will be cycling from the neonatal unit in Birmingham to Blackpool. We'll keep you all posted of our journey to the start line in August and then the 137 mile trip to our destination.
Seeing how the hospital cared for my family in there darkest hours of their lives was unbelievable we all know that nurses work hard but to see how much care and love they gave as well is truly heart melting worth there weight in gold. They helped Freddie stay alive for 6 hours and that was a miracle as diagnosis had a grim out come but the nurses made sure we all as a family had time with Freddie before we had to say our sad farewells to our little fighter. May you shine bright little man
Meanwhile we hope you can join us in celebrating the miracles that this team perform on a daily basis helping to save the lives of our precious children. Too many babies are born premature or poorly so let's give them a fighting chance!!
Donations for Freddie's cause can also be made via text. Simply text the word NEON65 + £2 / £5 / £10 to 70070 (e.g. NEON65 £5).
Thank you all for your generosity and for keeping our stars shining bright!!
