Work has stared on building a brand new care home on the current site of Hall Grange in Shirley near Croydon. The new care home will offer 45 en-suite rooms linked to a new adjacent retirement living community that will provide independent living accommodation for a further 46 residents in their own apartments.

MHA have been providing support and care in the existing Hall Grange since 1958 and the new development is indicative of our commitment to the growing number of older people in the Croydon area. The new Hall Grange will bring increased quality and choice to those we serve.

The total cost of the new care home will be over £4million and we need to raise a significant level of charitable income to ensure the delivery of all we wish to offer, in the shortest time possible.

A unique aspect of this project is the intention to develop and provide increased access to the four acres of garden that is of significant historical, horticultural and ecological interest and designated as a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation.
