Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I appreciate that many of you will not know Ben so let me give you the breifest of biographies. He was born on the 2nd September 1997 and was know as 'Bubs' by his family. His favourite colour was racing car green, he was crazy about rugby, had a relationship with Jesus and enjoyed spending his birthday people watching whilst riding around on the circle line in London. He also had Cerebral Palsy, which meant he used a wheel chair and communicated using a computer and an incredible smile. Earlier this year he got a chest infection and died in Naomi House on the 11th May 2013.
Naomi House played a massive part in Ben's final days giving him dignity, quality of life and the opportunity to flirt with the Duchess of Cambridge! They also supported and continue to support his family, including his two younger sisters. Naomi House provides respite, end of life care, emergency and bereavement support to children, young people and their families 24/7 and 365 days a year. It costs around £7 million to provide these services; only 18% of whicih is provided by the Department of Health.
I appreciate you may not have had the privilege of knowing Ben but donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure so please dig deep and donate to this inspiring organisaiton.
