We fund raise for brain tumour research to improve survival and understanding

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

19th March 2009 Sam collapsed with a brain tumour he was given an hour to live. After many operations and hard work he had to re-learn how to walk, talk, read, write and just about everything else.

Sam left hospital optimistic and determined..This was the start of something which Sam would not let get the better of him, he decided that it would be up to him to raise awareness and funding whether it be in the local community of his home town Newark or the European Parliament in Brussels, Sam battled astoundingly and touched the hearts of many people his beaming smile and great sense of humour, One of Sams great achievements was carrying the Olympic torch through his home town.

Sadly on September 3rd 2013 Sam peacefully passed away in QMC Nottingham.

Sam said that if he was not around to raise awareness and urge funding that it must be carried on or what will have been the point..So this is exactly what The Sam White Legacy Charity is doing!!

When Sam was diagnosed with a brain tumour life changed forever, BOOM! Despite long treatments and disabilities Sam continued to live life to the full, soon realising how little was known about the tumours and life with one.Being Sam he set about changing that..and told us to continue without him xx
