Story
A while back I received an email through my work about a charity skydive. Normally I wouldn’t take much notice of such a thing, but this time my eyes were drawn towards it. So like a madman I put my name forward for the 14th of June to take part in throwing myself out of a plane at 10000ft!!! The reason for this being that the charity – The RNLI lifeboat fund strikes a particular cord in my life and those closest to me, the thinking behind this is as follows……..
As many of you who will visit this page will know, a very special man was unexpectedly taken from us late in 2012. This man was Roger Lovell. He was one of the most genuine and nicest people anyone could know. And I am so grateful to have become such close friends with him. Personally I should’ve had the honour of calling him my father in law, but due to his condition I was never given that chance. On the 2nd November 2012 Roger tragically and suddenly passed away after being diagnosed with a hopeless illness affecting only 1 in a million, it left everyone in the family and those close to him in total shock and emptiness.
Roger was a massive sea fisherman as many of you will know, and due to this the Lifeboat fund was close to his heart and a cause he felt massively worthwhile. Therefore when this opportunity arose I just knew I had to do it. Therefore please sponsor me and donate to this page, lets raise a really good amount and make a fantastic man and his family really proud.
